Forced retirement?

There are some athletes who are defined by their sport, and then there are those who are not. There are also those who were forced to retire, and there are those who had other plans. For some, their plan was to get out before it was too late.

Overdue

Sterling Sharpe’s induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame was long overdue, and I’m glad he finally got in! You must know that these kind of accolades were not why he played, and he could care less, but the road getting there as well as how his career ended made so much sense.

20 Years Later: Hurricane Katrina and the New Orleans Saints

Hard to believe it’s been 20 years since hurricane Katrina struck the Gulf Coast, both impacting and taking lives along the way, especially in the city of New Orleans. Too small, slow, and skinny.

It’s almost time for the NFL draft once again, ladies and gentlemen, and we should all know by now we have no idea how selections and signings will pan out. In 1974, the Pittsburgh Steelers may had been on the rise, and Chuck Noll, his staff of coaches and scouts were no different from those of today.
